Stencil It for A Vintage Journey # 66

Hello lovely visitors and welcome. Happy sunny month of June to you all!

Today I am excited to host the latest challenge at A Vintage Journey, where our theme this month is "Stencil It".
Here is a description of the challenge:
Create a project using at least one stencil, in a style that fits our challenge focus - vintage, shabby, mixed media, art journaling; industrial, timeworn or steampunk. There are so many possibilities to be creative with stencils on your cards, journals, layouts, ATCs or 3D projects. Stencils offer endless possibilities, be creative and have fun!

And here is the project I created for the challenge:
It's an altered file folder, made into a booklet with several pockets holding tags showing different stencil techniques.
Here is a close up of the embellishments. The stencilling on the front was done with the help of texture paste and Seth Apter's Rust Baked Textures embossing powder.
Here's a view of the first inside page with the tags in their pockets.
And here you can see the second page. I created 4 size 8 and one large size 10 tag that fits in a top loading pocket in the centre of the booklet.
The 4 smaller tags

the large tag
And here finally is the back of the folder, using the same stencil and embossing technique.

I have not given you any further information about the techniques I used or how I made the folder, because in two weeks time I will do a full tutorial on how to make the folder on the Vintage Journey blog. I will also do several tutorials on the tags here on my own blog, - so stay tuned for that if you are interested.

Meanwhile do hop over to A Vintage Journey to see what my super talented teamies have created and of course we all hope that you will play along in this fun challenge!

Thanks for your visit and as I will be posting two further projects on this super busy first of June, I'll hope to see you again in the not to distant future.
xxxxx

Your file folder booklet is inspired Astrid with all the techniques you have used and the colours and designs included. What a great way to keep those fab tags to remind you of different ways to use a stencil, love it xxx

Completely scrumptious - probably my favourite of the three posts today (busy woman!)... I love the Baroque stencil texture on the cover and the lovely lettering on the tag pockets. A perfect reminder of why stencils are such an amazing tool in the craft room.

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
