Colour challenge at Mixed Media Monthly

Hello dear visitors and happy November!! It's the first of the month and that means a new challenge is starting over at Mixed Media Monthly.
The theme this month as my post title suggests is a colour challenge. I created a desk set, an idea inspired by the work of the talented Marjie Kemper
Here is the graphic for our colour challenge. Be sure that if you play along you add it to your post!
Our sponsor this month is no other than the wonderful Funky Junky Boutique,

I reckon most of you will know. Like usual you can read all the details of the challenge HERE

Now, on to my project. I started by creating a Master board, picking out acrylic paints in at least some of the colours and layering them on using a brayer.
I used a variety of Paperartsy Fresco paints, including some of the new Seth Apter signature limited edition colours.
More texture was added with the help of some scrunched up kitchen roll, dipped into the paints on my craft mat.
Adding further texture with the help of some stencils. I also added a few sprinkles of Infusions, also by Paperartsy.
I cut up my masterboard and first of all, covered my appointments diary with it. I used separate pieces for the front, back and the spine and adhered them with 3D mat gel by Prima. I then added further stamping, stenciling and went around the edges with black gelato.
Here is the back of the diary.
Next up I created a cover for my large post-it notes out of kraft card and then covered the front with another piece from my masterboard.
And finally, using a couple of little leftover pieces, I covered some bulldog clips.
Well, that's it for today, hope you enjoyed my projects and will hop over to the challenge blog to see what my teamies have created. All you need to do is click HERE.
Thank you for visiting today and have a creative month!!

Such fun seeing you play in these warm colour tones, and the layers you have built up give this glorious depth - a fabulous desk set - and though I can see Marjie's inspiration, this is still definitely you.

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
