Always show some understanding...

Hello everyone, it's Friday and so the weekend is nearly here! This Friday the creative guides of A Vintage Journey, are all sharing a tag and here is mine:
It's a size 8 tag and was quick and easy to do. I created the background by using 3 colours of Distress Paints, Weathered Wood, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain. I squiggled them onto my craft mat, spritzt with water, swirled my tag through it and then spritzt some more to let the paints marble. I added some texture with some Dreamweaver texture paste through one of Tim's Layering stencils. When that had dried I inked around the edges  with Coffee Archival and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I added a bit of printed tissue paper as well still and blended it into the background by adding a bit more paint with my fingers.
The gentleman is of course from the Paris to London set. I stamped him on smooth card in Black Archival, fussy cut him and then coloured with Faded Jeans and Antique Linen Distress Markers and a water brush. I gave him a walking stick with a tiny bit from the  Ideaology Industrious Stickers.
The rusty looking keys are actually made from paper clay in a mold. I rusted them with the help of some Coffee Archival ink and some Ranger Antiquities Embossing Powder in in the colour Rust.
Some remnant rubs and a sentiment created with chit chat stickers finish it all off.
Oh the ruler at the bottom is simply a die cut given to me by a friend, it was cut in white card and I coloured it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Make sure to take a look at the tags my teamies have created, I promise you, you will not be disappointed!! Click HERE  and you will go straight to the post to see them all!!
Thank you for visiting today and have a great weekend!!

Like previous I love the rusty keys and the idea of the walking stick too Astrid. I also like the stamping that frames your layered gentlman, his lovely blue jacket sits nicely against your chosen colours for the marbelled paint background. Mo x

I could not believe the ruler is a die-cut, I actually thought it was a vintage ruler which you had aged/distressed.
Those keys are remarkable, especially to achieve such realistic results with so few products.

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
