All she wanted was to be a queen of hearts

Hello everyone and  so lovely to have you drop by. Can you believe it is Mid Summers day already here in the Northern Hemisphere... ? I can't believe how time flies and that the days will now start to get shorter again.... half way to Christmas....

Today I am sharing a journal page which I created just for fun:
After playing in my journal when doing my Tim tag, I really wanted to do another page as I have had so little time for journaling recently. You can see that page HERE if you missed it.

I'll do a quick step by step with photos so you can see how I built up my page:
I started with putting some Dreamweaver stencil paste through a couple of stencils, Prima top left, Memory Box bottom right. When dry I added some subtle colours with Distress Paints: Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet, a bit of Weathered Wood and Pumice Stone. I also spritzt some home made sprays (Victorian Velvet re-inker and water, and Weathered Wood re-inker and water) over the textured bits.

Next came some torn book pages, tissue tape, a bit of Gesso and some stenciling with Pumice Stone Distress Ink throught the Tim Holtz Dots and Lattice Work stencils:
I also added some stamps from a Lynne Pyrella set. I stamped the beautiful main image first straight on the page with Watering Can Archival. I then stamped her again and cut her out, coloured her with Victorian Velvet and Pumice stone and adhered her to the page. Next I stamped the middle section again with Plum Archival, cut out just the heart and adhered that, I also stamped the crown from the same set straight onto the page.

Nearly done:
Some glossy accents on the heart to make it pop a bit more.
Some little scraps from a paper serviette adhered with Gel medium over the textured bits.

A butterfly made from paper clay in a Martha Stewart mould.
Some background stamping with Kaisercrafts texture stamps. The feather is from the LP set. The little crown and pen nib are Stamping Up stamps. The sentiment was computer generated.
A bit more stenciling and texture stamping and adding some shadows with the help of a Pumice Stone Distress marker and that was it...
Hope you like it and thanks so much for visiting!!

It's too much beautiful, amazing...,Astrid !!

I didn't any more come for the Art Journal because I really think that I'm incapable to realize it and to be punctual !!!

And there, I think of putting myself in it when I shall can, which way !!

It's necessary to be able to travel sometimes in the life because we don't feel us abble to do something....

Warm thoughts and I ever adore and always admire what you are doing , hugs from France, Christiane

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
