Positive and Negative

Hello friends, happy September! I love Autumn and can't wait to share some more Autumnal projects with you, but today I just have a fun little tag card to share with you, using the new Alcohol Lift Ink by Tim Holtz.
I am having so much fun playing with this stuff. I think many of you will have discovered it already, but if it is new to you, check out this video by Tim Holtz.
I called this Positive and Negative, as I used both the lifting and the coloured print off for my tag, which I then layered and embellished with some further Alcohol Lift Ink embellishments.

This is how I did it: I die cut a tag from Yupo paper and blended various alcohol inks in blue tones all over it.
I then used the stamps from the Tim Flower Jar set and stamped them with the Lift Ink and then stamped them off onto white card stock.
These subtly blue stamped flowers were then die cut, with the matching die set and adhered just below the lifted images.
A couple of leaves left over from a previous lift ink project were used to embellish the card further, and that was pretty much it.
Not quite my usual colour palette, but I had fun and it was quick to do and will make a useful card for someone.

Thanks for your visit like always and have a good week ahead!
xxxxx

It's a beautiful tag Astrid and I think I need to check our these new products, I've read on a couple of blogs people have mentioned them. Like you love creating for Autumn, just not so keen on the cooler days.

The delicate blooms really shine against the bold blue background Astrid. Although I've heart of the Alcohol Lift Ink by Tim, I've not checked it out, so thanks for the link; I'm off to do just that. Gorgeous work.

I haven't tried this alcohol ink lift yet so I am curious about how well it works. I would say it works fantastic. I love the blue and how it leaves that white image. It almost looks like batik dyeing. You created a beautiful piece Astrid. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

Wow, I love love love this tag! The shades of blue are amazing and I've heard of the new Alcohol Lift ink but wasn't sure how it worked 😁. Thanks for the video and explanation, makes sense now ...lol 😉. The addition of the autumn leaves and layers of paper for the frame showcases the blue perfectly and you certainly chose the right word too, you have created beauty! I'm so pleased that Autumn has inspired your muse to return. Wishing you a happy and creative new week! J 😊 x

Absolutely beautiful, Astrid. I'm looking forward to experimenting with the Lift Ink even more after seeing this gorgeous layered tag. Perfect colours, and a wonderful effect with the shadowy flowers in the watery background and the delicate stems in the foreground. Lovely!

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
