A Gift of Lace and some freebies

Hello friends, hope you are all well. I have not posted for a while because I have had computer issues, also I have been busy creating projects for design teams, but today I have a fun project to share, - an altered file folder, so here goes:
The folder is made from a manilla coloured file folder, and I used Prima Lavender papers to decorate it through out.
The front is decorated with some home made flowers, lace and a couple of little charms attached to the ribbon that closes it.
I also used some of the gorgeous Prima Lavender Washi tapes through out to decorate it.
On the inside there are pockets, and each pocket holds a lace bobbin/spool or whatever you want to call it, because this is for a friend who loves lace.
Here is the second page with further lace spools, each type of lace is slightly different.
I made the spools myself by printing some freebies I made a number of years back on card. I fussy-cut them and then added the lace from my stash.
As I thought some of you might like to do something similar (it's a great way to store your laces), - I will post the freebies below here again too. I think they were the most popular freebies I ever posted, so if you have not seen them before, here they are:
They print on A4 or 8.5/11 paper, but in case you want to print them individually, let me know and I can sent you the individual high res files. Here is one example:
I noticed that the Funkie Junkie Challenge blog is running a  layers of lace challenge right now, so I am going to link this there. And if you are interested how to make a file folder like this yourself, - there are many tutorials on youtube and in a few weeks time I will have a full tutorial of a different style folder as well.

Well, that's it for now, - many thanks for your visit like always and happy crafting!
xxxxx

I always love your file folders... I bought a pack of them inspired by you, and they're buried somewhere in the craft room. This makes me want to go looking. I love the papers - so pretty - and your spools look so great with the lace wound round. I know I have that digi file somewhere too, but thank you for sharing it again.

Astrid, I feel like I won the jackpot this morning! I just adore this project, first because it is so beautiful, but wow, I love that it is functional. AND it fits so perfectly with our challenge over at Frilly and Funkie! Yipppeee! Those papers are some of my favorites from Prima, and you have showcased them perfectly, paired with your lacy stash! What a WONDERFUL gift for your friend! (I'm just a tinge green with envy!) Thank you for sharing the spools, too--how generous! I am looking forward to your tutorial! Have a great Sunday! Thank you for sharing this with us at Frilly and Funkie in our Layers of Laces challenge! Big hugs!

Stunning folder Astrid! I adore that Prima design set- the lavender color reminds me of my childhood and the woman don around the corner, who always smelled of sweet vile or lilacs and her yard was covered in the most beautiful violets I ever saw!
This is one of my favorites! And those spools of lace- perfectly charming!

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
