Hello friends! Well, here we are, nearly the weekend and that much closer to Christmas......
Today I have 3 further Christmas cards to share.
Below a short tutorial of how I made them:
All of them started with some textue paste and a stencil:
I then added colour with a mix of Acrylic paints in Titan Buff, White and Burnt and Raw Umber, I used different brands, Decoart Fluid Acrylics, Golden Fluid Acrylics and Paper Artsy Frescos, using both a brayer and my fingers.
On one of them I also used Distress Crayons to get a kind of patina effect.
Raised bits were also highlighted with Treasure Gold.
I then added various die cuts and vintage images as focal points, and that was pretty much it.
I am going to add one of the cards to the following challenges:
Countryview Crafts: Stencils
That's Crafty: Stencil it
Frilly and Funkie: Timeworn
Thanks for your visit like always

Absolutely stunning cards Astrid. I love the muted tones, the yummy texture and the vintage themes throughout. It's always a pleasure to visit your blog and be inspired by your creativity.
No matter how we see or celebrate Christmas there is nothing more delightful than that vintage touch. I love those stencilled layers and touches of colour. Your little movie showcases them all perfectly. Thank you for sharing Astrid.

Oh, this is what I am talking about! Astrid, your timeworn style shines through with all it's brilliance on these 3 cards! Wow, how I adore those backgrounds; so rich with timeless elegance! Ooooh, la, la! I've run out of words to express my love of your trademark vintage style! I'm so happy you've linked these works of art up at Frilly and Funkie! So perfect for the Timeworn theme! Hugs! PS I think I have that stencil; I'm really going to have to give your steps a try, although I doubt they would come close to the patina you've achieved!
PS The video is a 'MUST SEE'!

The close up shots on your video are a perfect way to see and appreciate all the beautiful detail you created too - stunning! Someone is going to be very lucky to receive these wonderful cards 😁. Wishing you a lovely weekend! J 😊
So much gorgeousness, Astrid. I always love your colors and creations. Happy holidays to you!
Completely gorgeous, and of course your texture is wonderful!
The backgrounds you created are fabulous Astrid and I just love the patina effect you created and the vintage Father Christmas is so lovely! I really enjoyed seeing your video close-ups too! Hugs, Anne xx
Gorgeous - your textured backgrounds are such beautiful settings for the ephemera, images and die-cuts. I really like the DC patina, and again those hints of gilding make such a difference - a touch of faded glamour, perfect for a vintage Christmas look.
