Another Scene for Countryview Crafts

As many of you will know already, the challenge theme this month over at Countryview Crafts is "Make a Scene". For my second project I made a fancy gift tag.
Time is precious at this busy time of the year, but a project like this is quick to do. All you need is a scenic stamp, a tag, a sentiment and minimal embellishments. (Makes it easy to send in the post too).
I used a Graphics 45 tag made from Kraft card.
I stamped my scene, using a Sheena Douglass stamp in Potting Soil Archival, heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used a circular mask for the moon and blended Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress inks around it to colour my scene. I then removed the mask and lightly blended some more  ink over part of the moon so it would not appear too stark. With a water brush I then removed a little ink from the buildings to make it look as if the moon was lighting it up a bit.
A die cut sentiment and some little snowflakes finished it all off.

Well, I hope you are up to date with your Christmas preparations and if you have a moment to spare, do join in our challenge. Like always there is a fabulous prize to be won!
Thank you for visiting

OMG, Astrid - pardon the expression, but this sends me over the moon! I love how you use this wonderful architectural stamp, which I thankfully was able to finally find. Your use of the mask, and the water brush to highlight the moon's lighting on the building - fabulous! And in brown no less!! You continue to inspire me! Happy holidays and safe travels to your family - xxx Lynn

You are a master Astrid ( know I told you before ,lol) you can make a flat shiny moon look like the real one, with a little ink, to be totally allive, and the building too, in the darkness but lighted by the full moon. Also beautiful with the white snowflake and the words !

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
