Final Shimmerz project

Hello lovely visitors,
I thought that today I would have a vintage collage project going live over on the Shimmerz blog.
However as I also wanted to announce that I have decided to resign from their team, as life has taken me in a different direction, it now appears that they have removed me from their blog, as some of you told me, the link did not work anymore... too bad, I'll just post the full project here :o)
I had great fun creating this vintage collage. I used a bit of old Indigoblu scrapbook papers, sanded it down, added some texture with the help of a stencil and Grungepaste and then used various Shimmerz sprays to age and alter it. The postcard was cut from another bit of paper as was the air balloon and a little sentiment finished it all off. Below are a few close up photos:

Thanks for dropping in and I hope that so far you are having a good month! I'll give you an update on my trip to China very soon. Meanwhile, waving hi from Australia, and in the days and weeks to come I will post some of my other Shimmerz projects here :o)
xxxxx

The preview here looks fabulous as always Astrid, but I couldn´t get to it on the Shimmerz blog either and got the same message, that it couldn´t be found, and it´s not to be found there at all, when I search their blog, so guess something went wrong in the upload there. But like I said, the preview here looks gorgeous, and I´m sure it all are.
Looking forward to hear more from your trip to China, and please just enjoy your time in Australia with your grandkids. Have a wonderful time ahead sweet lady.

Your piece looks lovely and I love the journey theme with all the travelling you've been doing of late! Hope you have had fun in China, I can't wait to here all about it 😁. Wishing you a lovely time in Australia with your family and a Happy September! J 😊
p.s. sorry I'm late visiting you, we have family staying with us so I've found I haven't had much spare time. Made time last night when everyone was in bed to post my latest page ...lol 😉. We are having such a lovely time though, I hope you are too! J x

Hi Astrid, your collage is gorgeous as all of your art is. I always enjoy seeing your designs, step by step explanations and beautiful photographs. I hope it's just an oversight that your design was removed from Shimmeriz blog and not because you resigned. You've created a lot of beautiful art to promote their products and they've been lucky to have you on their team for so long. Enjoy the next phase of your creativity. I hope all is well with you in your travels. Cheers, Shirleyxx

Hmm... talk about cutting off one's nose - how foolish of them to deprive their blog of this gorgeous project - it's an absolute beauty. I love the vintage sepia glow, and brilliant use of all the ephemera to add depth and detail, and that textured flourish is stunning at the heart of it all.

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
