It's the first of the month and that means a new challenge at Mixed Media Monthly!!
I created a piece of mail art, but that is not really our theme! It's our 3rd anniversary and like usual in June our theme is pick any theme from the previous year. Here is our badge for this month, listing all the themes:
I picked # 36, but put a twist to it, and added a real stamp as well as some rubber stamping.
I decoupaged a piece of the top layer of a paper napkin on one side.
The special delivery sign is a Tim Holtz stamp from his Correspondence set, stamped in Plum Archival and then fussy cut.
I hand lettered the address label, which by the way is just made up, I think most people would not enjoy having their address publicly displayed like this. It will be easy enough to cover it with the address of the real recipient :o)
And finally the back of the envelope. I adhered a part of another mail themed paper napkin and some additional stamping with a Crafty Individual stamp I received from Donna Bowman our DT leader last month.
Now before I sign off, our sponsor this month is :
Donna is offering a $50 voucher for one lucky winner!!!
Well, that's it for now, make sure to head over to the MMM Blog to see all the awesome projects the other team members have created and remember if you decide to play, do add our badge to qualify as a winner. Hope to see you there and have a brilliant creative month!

Well I meant to say mail --- but I think you knew that!
Simply stunning envelope Astrid!! Those oxide colours are gorgeous and whoever receives this happy mail is going to be over the moon!!
Getting cold down here in Aus but I guess that's what happens in winter! LOL!! Have a wonderful weekend!! hugs xx
Amazing work here again Astrid. I love the idea of making a decorated envelope like this, it´s really gorgeous and what a joy for the recipient to recieve such a piece of art in the mail. Really stunning work with lots of great details all over it.
An absolute fantastic piece of Mail Art! Love your twist on it :) xo Cheetarah
What a stunning transformation, it is so beautiful! The colours are some of my favourites and your handwritten letters are amazing too 😁. Enjoy your weekend! J 😊

Super creative envelope! Love it!
This is really lovely! Astrid . Mail that anyone would be delighted to receive . Those Distress oxides really suit your style of creativity perfectly .
I may be tempted now to 'return to sender' any mail I receive unless it comes in an envelope as lovely as this x
Wow, Astrid! I love this piece of mail art, and I can't imagine it going through the USPS! The oxide background is delicious and your hand lettered address label looks fabulous! I had a little giggle over the addie, though! In USA we always list a state and the zip code is 5 digits. Ha Ha! You've used your artistic license, though and made a USA address look so elegant! Wish it were my address on this beautiful piece of art! Hugs!
Really beautiful with a perfect twist!
Wow! SO very beautiful and inspiring!
A wonderful project Astrid

Fabulous mail art with so many delicate and beautiful details <3
This is wonderful! Great colors and details!
Simply lovely - the napkin is gorgeous and, set in your vintage envelope, it's the perfect bit of romantic nostalgia... a love letter setting off on its journey. Delicious!

Those oxides and your fabulous colours have produced such an amazing look. Lots to look at, great lay out and such a fun idea to use the 'real' stamp, as well as stmaping. Glorious mail art and thank you for the inspiration x
Such fabulous layers of color and text!
The mail art is stellar!!
I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase the Vintage Photo oxide Astrid, but seeing your beautiful mail art I have to have that colour and soon too, lol. The way you've blended all those colours so seamlessly, I love it and I envy your skills Karen x
