If you have been here before you will know that for the last couple of weeks I have been working on my so called Tag a Day project: 12 tags in all. Well, I am almost done, two more to go, but today I wanted to show you the cover I have been working on, you see, I needed just a bit of a change from the tags, and so I thought I would do the cover.... well here it is:
Ok, so what about the title of this post?? Well you see, I found that when I had done the covers and put them together with the tags created so far, - I could only fit about 6 of them in as they were far too bulky and even the biggest binding ring I have was not large enough to hold them all! So it looks as if I am going to have to use this cover for another project and I will have to think of a totally different binding system to hold my 12 tags when they are done.... Anyway, I'll keep you posted, meanwhile, here are some close up pictures of the front cover, all created with Prima goodies apart from the ribbon and the little bit of lace.

I would laugh, but I almost feel like a good cry! Ever work on something ALL day and it stinks - really stinks? I finally gave up and will go back to it tomorrow! At least I came here and was able to take in something beautiful! Love this tag journal cover! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs!
Hi Astrid, I love the colour. What a great excuse for a mini series of 6 tags.
I'm sure you will come up with a way to keep all the tags together...it would be great to look back on every now and then, so many great ideas and techniques! I am looking forward to seeing the next 2 tags ;) This cover looks fantastic...isn't it amazing what you can do with papers!

Aw! What a pity after all the work you have put in on it! It is beautiful. But as you say it can still be used for another project but disappointing for you I am sure.

Oh this is so pretty ... I just love the idea of a folder for those beautiful tags ... I have very large ring binders that I got on ebay ... I think they are about 2" diameter ... check out ebay and see if you can't rescue your original idea ...
Beautiful book cover, good excuse to make another one for your twelve tags and make six less bulky tags for this one? Or use ribbon or twine to fasten them together,whatever you do is always amazingly beautiful

Astrid...what a gorgeous cover for your tag journal. That Prima paper is wonderful. I love the way you've torn the edges and inked/distressed them to perfection. The colors are once I adore together. I've been flying under the radar lately because of some serious personal problems, so I have enjoyed getting caught up a bit with your designs, Astrid. I went back and looked at all of the tags that you created for your Tag a Day journal, and I was blown away, as always. As gorgeous as they are, the sky's the limit, however you bind them (or not).♥
