Gothic Arches "Leighton"

The theme at Gohic Arches is to use an image from a painting by Lord Frederic Leighton.
I had so much fun with this challenge. I chose one of his images,(thanks for the link Nancy!) worked on it in photoshop then printed it and integrated it into a collage using lace, tissue paper and various Stewart Gill paints.

I recently discovered a brilliant way to construct a gothic arch in pretty much any size. All you need is a compass and some (very basic) knowledge of geometry. If you are interested, just email me and I will send you instructions.

This is so beautiful, Astrid, with the lace and the muted rose colors. I had not thought of using a compass but I think I see how to do an arch with one. Thanks for the "bug in my ear."

It's a marvellous arch and you've put quite a bit of wondeful work into it! I might pinch from your work for future use ;)

Astrid, your gold arch is ingenuous!! I love the vintage lace you used to finish the bottom of your design. The lace completes it perfectly.

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
