Hermine's challenge

The very talented Hermine, co-author of the book Art specially for ATC lovers, has set a challenge on her blog, - to use her back ground. Here is my contribution. I did not want to cover up too much of the background as it is so beautiful, so I basically made a card topper, trying to blend in the colours, (a mix of alcohol inks and water soluable crayons and some gesso), with her background. I then embellished with some wire, beads and buttons. The image on the topper is from an antique postcard I picked up at a flee market in Brittany.

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
