A Greatful Heart

Hello all, a very quick post from me today to share my latest project created as part of Lifebook 2018
This latest class was taught by Kathy Glynn and was called words of gratitude. Like usual with Lifebook projects I cannot tell you exactly how I went about it, but it was basically a watercolour portrait with flowing hair into which you added words of things you are grateful for.. I pretty much did my own thing, both in terms of colours and in the way I added the words and did the actual face part of the painting.

It's a long time since I have done a portrait all in water colour, all I can say is, - it was useful practice, even though I really don't like the finished result, but this is all a journey, so live and learn and better luck next time.

Well that's it, hope you all get some creative time and that the weather is kind to you, - here more winter weather is forcast, and I am sooooo ready for Spring.

Anyway, like usual, thanks for taking the time to visit
xxxxx

She is very beautiful Astrid, I love how she blends into the background with your words taking precedence. Great therapy to write down all those important words..

Such a pretty portrait! I love the colours of her flowing hair with the wording - beautiful 😁. Hope you have sunshine where you are like we do, although we still need to wrap up warm on our daily walks as those winds feel so cold - brrrr ...lol! Happy Sunday! J 😊

It's an interesting concept. Not my favorite thing to make, but I do like looking at yours and the rainbow hair. That is very very cool. And I haven't seen anything like that before and it's cool. Hugs-Erika

I think she is beautiful, the entire page is :) We have to remember to keep our 'inner critic' away which at times is difficult. Take care Shirleyxx

Astrid I think she is lovely, and oh my with water colors, not an easy task- but she is a beautiful result, even you don`t like it yourself.
The words of thankfulness, is a wonderful idea, and looks lovely in her hair , must have been a good Sunday afternoon- snowing here again- :-(
Hugs, Dorthe

This is lovely Astrid! The colours are gorgeous and I love that the journaling is done through the hair .. makes it so much a part of the whole picture rather than just an add on. The face is lovely .. quite ethereal .. and I love the overall look of the piece. Beautiful!! hugs x

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
