Just a little note

Just a little note to say I am off for my holidays to France. Back on August 3. I plan to go to as many flee markets as I can and any interesting finds will be scanned and go into my flickr as freebees.

Sunday Postcard "Fabric"

We are to use fabric this week in the Sunday Postcard Challenge. I used various bits of antique lace. The background o my postcard was created by using various colours of acrylic paints over a collaged background which was then overstamped. The image is by Paper Whimsey.

Saturday's workout "Circle it"

The theme at SaWo is "Circle it".
I was totally inspired by the piece Hermine Koster submitted. She has a fantastic tutorial you can download via her blog. All credts for this piece go to her for this tutorial. All I did was follow it and then add my own slant.

Art Creations Friday

Art Creations Friday provided a wonderful background which I decided was just righ for the cover of a journal I am making for when I go on holiday in France.

The theme at TGIF this week is "Red Flowers". I made a gothic arch.

The theme at Wednesday stamper is colourful. I did a mix of painting, stamping and collage. The little girl is from one of the gorgeous Paper Whimsey collage sheets.

There is a comparatively new challenge blog called Tuesday Taggers. I only just discovered it and decided to join in the challenge for today which is Friendships and sentiments. I made two very different tags in different styles, just to challenge myself.

Gothic Arches atc

This week at Gothic Arches the theme is to create a "Gothic ATC". I made my back ground with different Adirondac and distress inks and stamping with these same inks. The little girls are from Lisa's Altered Art.
