I have a very vintage style project to share with you, it will be showing today on the Countryview Challenge blog where the theme this month is to use Kraft card. I love using Kraft card and this is a Crossover card. The base of both the card, some tags and a matching box, are all made from Kraftcard. This box was inspired by a similar creation from my friend Cobs from the Cobweb Emporium. I had never made a crossover card, but a quick google search soon led me to an excellent tutorial here. Really this card is not so much a card, rather than a kind of pocket. So I decided to make a couple of tags, a gift card and a box for them all as well.
Here are some more details:
I made the card base from Kraftcard and covered it with papers from my stash I then created a label for the front, again made with Kraft and decoupaged some Spring elements on top.
Next I gathered some elements I wanted to use for my tags:
I die cut a doily from Kraft, a circle from Cord'inations (also a kind of Kraft card and took some images from the paper collection, Papermania) I was using for this project. I then adhered them together like this:
I inked all the edges and sanded the Cored'nations as you can see. I then also made a little envelope and gift card, all to fit inside the pocket of my crossover pocket.
Next I wanted the embellish the outside a bit further and created a little flower cluster to fit on the front too.
The main flower was made from Crinoline with the Tim Holtz die, the leaves are from Heartfelt Creations.
The final part was making a box type envelope to fit all the elements into. I used my WRMK envelope punch board for that:
Again, I made it from Kraftcard of course and lined it with papers and element from the same collection. This is the front, and below you can see the side.
I left the back quite plain and you can see of the card and tags all fit neatly inside.
There is still plenty of time to play along with our challenge, so hope you'll decide to join in. There are so many ways in which Kraft card can be used.
Thank you for visiting like always and have a great weekend!
