Halloween skinny number 4

Here is number 4 of the 6 skinnies I am making for a halloween swap. The background was created using deli paper which I was sent by the lovely Marilyn Rock. You can watch a video on how to do these kind of backgrounds here

If there is anyone who knows where you can get this kind of paper in the uk, please let me know, I love the stuff! I am also putting this in for the 3 Muses' challenge where Bev has chosen the theme "Numbers" this week.

I am wondering if deli paper is the same as what we call "butcher's paper". This is a very soft white paper that can be shaped around whatever it is wrapping. My daughters buy it in very large bundles for their small children to paint and draw on. It is also popular in kindergartens and pre-schools.

Astrid, your artpiece for this week's numbers theme at the Muses is absolutely scrumptious. I love the creative design and those superbly rich, earthy tones. Fantastic.

Astrid, your skinnies are beautiful little works of art. I love the colours, and the composition, and in this particular one I'm loving the Raven who looks as though he is up to some mischief! Kudos my friend.

first: your halloween skinnies are fantastic!! great turn-out of this deli-paper technique!!

i also hate it when it comes to things which i can´t get here (in germany). but i think i found quite a good substitute for this (may be it is actually the same, i have no comparison...). it is named "sandwich paper" (we also call it "butterbread" paper). it is really cheap and comes in packages of 100 (about din-a-4 size) sheets in the department of the stores where the ziplock /freezing bags are. wish you luck finding!!

Hi Astrid,
I didn't know what you meant by deli paper until I watched the video, now I will have to see if I can get it too. I think it is called butchers paper also, and you can buy big rolls of it here.

Love this skinny with that wonderful background, and the triangles with my favorite witch :)

Astrid,i used for this backgrounds the kind of fatfree paper you pack sandwiches in, i think it,s pretty much the same as the delipaper.
Love Marilyns work too and watched the tutorial she made too!

I love the beautiful depth and glow you've created in these halloween skinnies, Astrid. I can only seem to do outtakes from 'Saw' LOL. good luck with your search for deli paper. I assume it's not the same as greaseproof paper?

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
