The first project is my weekly calendar page.
I layered up the papers, added washi, did some background stamping and finally finished with a wax seal and a hand written sentiment.
Below just a few close ups:
One of Tim's paper dolls whom I gave a pair of wings for a bit of whimsy.
The hand written quote, written with a dip pen. Much of my crafting time these days is spent doing my dip pen practice, I'm afraid to say, progress is very slow and I am not really ready to share much of it...
I always add a little colour and or stencilling to the facing page too, to tie them together.
I had lots of fun creating the second project which was for an art swap:
The swap was for 3 Artist Trading Coins, but I decided to add some extra bits, just for fun and created a little folder and decorated envelope, just because I love doing things like that.
Here first of all are the 3 coins:
And here a close up of the envelope: Obviously before I added the address
The little folder was adapted from a tutorial by Nik the Booksmith I found on Youtube, and I used the same printable paper as for the calendar page:
It has pockets inside, where I stuffed bits and bobs that I hope she will enjoy using in her own artwork.
Well, that's pretty much what I have been up to, have a good week ahead and until next Friday...
Thank you like always for taking the time to visit

Beautiful calendar pages and I love the creations you made for the swap. That's wonderful paper you downloaded, too. Your dip-pen writing looks good, I sometimes write with my home-made quill when my fingers aren't too shaky. Hugs, Valerie
Gorgeous projects Astrid, I love the collaged calendar page with your beautiful hand written snippets of words, they look amazing and the coins with all the fabulous additions will be loved by the recipient I’m sure. Have a lovely weekend my friend xxx
Such gorgeous pieces of art Astrid! Your calendar page looks fabulous with all those yummy layers and your handwriting looks wonderful! The coins are so sweet and I adore the envelope you created, but the folder is my fave! I watched that video by Nik and have been wanting to make one of these myself. I think they are fabulous and I totally love yours. Stunning!! Have a great day! hugs xx
Stunning pages Astrid and thank you for the link to the place we can get them
Love the coins and they do seem to be the in things at the moment.
Your pen and ink writing adds so much to the project

I love the folder Astrid. I have never tried one of those but you are inspiring me. There are so many interesting details to look at. Especially he photos (the boy works so well with the wings) and the postage theme. Hope it's been a good week and you have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by my blog too. Hugs-Erika
Your new page in calender journal is beautiful! The download papers and pieces of empherea that you added work perfectly together 😁. Your ATC coins and envelopes are so pretty too and I love the folder that you created, I'm sure all your friends will really appreciate them. I hope you've had a great week, we have lovely sunshine here today 😀. Happy Friday and Weekend! J 😊 x

As always you´ve made an outstanding job on all these projects here. Both the coins, the calendarpage is awesome, but like most here I´m just thrilled by the envelopefolder, it´s amazing work, and I just love your handwriting too, it looks really awesome Astrid.
Have a great week-end and wonderful week ahead.
Gorgeous projects Astrid - I really love the little folder. All so beautifully created x
Your calendar page is beautiful Astrid, I love your dip pen writing, it is so neat and well defined. The wings behind the boy look wonderful.
The little folder you created is delightful and such a wonderful way to send bits and bobs to your swap partner. The coins are gorgeous and I love the envelope, it looks almost too beautiful to send through the post though! Hugs, Anne xx

Have a great weekend and see you soon xx
I adore this! Great idea and adaptation of Nik's book. The paper and embellishments you chose are perfect for this project. You know I love your work!
Wonderful projects Astrid - I adore your pages so much! Big hugs, Susi
There is beauty in each day indeed, no matter how we wear our smile :)
Love those papers, I do not have a printer and sometimes wish I did when I see beauty like this. There's nothing like hand written words especially when used in something like this. I did Calligraphy at O'Level but fear mine is no where as good as it was 30 years ago hee hee!!
Love your swap pieces, I hope one day I may own a little piece of Astrid Art..
Sunday Hugs Tracey & take care xx
Your calendar page is just GORGEOUS Astrid !! I love it, love the so beautiful details on it, the little boy, the wax seal tree.... and your ATcoins are so wonderful !! Fabulous art pieces for your friends, they will enjoy them for sure. Your ink-feather is amazing !! like your writing, Great !!
I wish you a very nice afternoon, and send big hugs,
Caty
All you planners amaze me, but none more than you as each weekly page blows my mind and should be framed. Seriously Astrid, just outstanding.
I don`t know what to say , oh this is all so stunning, the swap part knocks me out, so totally adorable and beautiful it is all Astrid. The receiver will be blown away , I`m sure. All the romantic papers and pieces you have used, the folder is amazing, and the envelope , and not to forget the coins -
Love your fairy-boy sitting among beauty, too .
Hugs, Dorthe xxx
A great weekly catch up again. The calendar page spread is lovely (and I like the embellished photo setting too), with that beautiful dip pen lettering (glad you shared just a little bit with us, hoping for more soon) and the winged boy perched on the ephemera tape. The papers look really good - a fantastic base for collaging.
Your ATCoins for the swap are utterly delightful - so pretty and romantic with the roses and the promise of travel to exotic places. How lovely to create the envelope and little folder of treats to go with them - that's definitely going to put a smile on someone's face!

Hello dear Astrid!
I have to tell you, your dip pen practice is coming along much nicer than you think! Many can not achieve the level you are at! i should know-I am one of them! LOL
What beautiful pages and I do love the whimsical wings you have added along with the wax seal- that I think was the perfect touch!
Your second project is just as beautiful! Your envelopes always make my heart soar with just how much love and beauty you add to them-they truly make the receiver fell so very special! Again, I should know! ")
Hoping you are doing well and looking forward to more of your Friday art!
hugs and love,Jackie
Time for a little catching up...and so good to finally see this post! I love your journal pages, they are indeed inspiring! Such a wonderful collage. I think your penning is coming along wonderfully! I would think using the dip pen would be difficult, and wonder how our forefathers survived without Pilot Pens!
I adore those little 21/2 inch circles of artsy goodness! What a treasure, paired with the gift wallet and gorgeous mail art! Your pen pal is certainly blessed with your artwork! Hugs!
Loving all of this but especially the coins. Who ever gets those and the gorgeous envelope will be a very lucky person. Hugs, Angela xXx
