For the love of texture gift card holder

A very warm welcome to you all and thank you so much for dropping by today.
There are two things that I seem to love doing at the moment, making little tag or gift card holders and creating texture.. This little piece is just the right size to hold either a gift card or a folded up banknote, a handy thing to have on hand when you need a quick gift. It's very similar to my last post but this time made out of a long strip of card, scored so it will fold into three and it closes like a wallet (with a little magnet). The texture was created with strips of tissue paper. When dry you can paint it in whatever colour you fancy and it looks like old leather. The images I used are from the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings Collection, so are the papers I used to line the inside of the wallet. Here are some close ups:
The back of the wallet with a die cut from the collection As you can see I used Tim Holtz Tissue tape on the sides of the wallet.

This is the closure, the image was mounted on some Kraftcard for strength and the little magnet hides behind it.

The inside of the wallet, lined with papers from the collection and some background stamping added with coffee archival
A little pocket created with a spellbinder die to hold the gift card. Texture added with a n embossing folder and decorated with a die cut from the collection and a little bee stamp.

Another die cut, the ticket was stamped on one of the papers, cut out and adhered to add a bit more interest.

The top flap from the inside, here you can see the little magnet that will close the wallet.

Well that's it, hope you like it, thank you for visiting and have a creative day!
See you next time!

  7. Fabulous texture, colours and images Astrid and such a useful pocket to have In reserve.
In answer to your question on my blog, the stamps I used on my domino book were a mixture of small ones I have collected over the years, mostly little packets of clear stamps.
