I have started a crafting love affair with the enormous #12 Ranger manila tags.
I just love how easy it is to transform them into a little gift card or tag holder, which makes them just that little bit more special than an ordinary card. If you score them at 4.5 and 9" and then trim a tiny bit of the bottom, they fold into a perfect little folder.
For this one I painted the background with the new Distress paints in Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire. It was very bright so I then toned it down with some Gesso which I blended in with a baby wipe. I added texture with some texture paste (good old cheap Poly Filla) through a stencil and then blended Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink over it.
I highlighted the raised bits with some Treasure Gold. Next I stamped an old scrip stamp with Picket Fence Distress Stain. The flowers were created with Heartfelt Creations Tattered Florals stamps and dies.
The inside was lined with some matching papers from my stash, on old 7 Gypsies line, "Collections from the Journey". I also made a pocket and tag with my Spellbinders Labels 18 dies.
As you can see, I added some texture to the tag too to make it all match together.
Here you can see the front with the flap open, it closes with a little magnet.
Finally I embellished with a seam binding ribbon and some Prima crystals in the flower centers.
Well, hope you like it, not quite my usual style or colours perhaps, but great fun to do!
Thank you for visiting and see you next time.
