Next step on my journaling journey

Hello friends, - it's Friday and that means another blogpost from me. As Journaling is the main thing I am doing art and craft wise at the moment, all I have are a few more journal pages to share, so this will be a short post....
First of all, my weekly calendar page, the photo was taken when it was partially filled in.

Here is a slightly closer look:

-Next up a spread from my "Draw Your Day" journal. I don't manage absolutely every day, but most days I do.
And finally a few further pages in  my junk journal, this is where I record some of the deeper aspects of my life and as these are quite personal I have redacted some of the writing....

I am using this journal also to write quotes that I love, practising the next steps on my calligraphy writing journey. I have moved from brushpens to dip pens, and as you can see, it's like starting all over again, - what a mess, - but hey, I'll keep practising.
And here is the final one I will share today:
Well that's it for this Friday post. I hope these journal pages are not too boring for you. I am sure that at some point I will come back to more mixed media stamping and Tim Holtz inspired stuff, but this is what I am at now.

Thank you for your visit like always
xxxxx

  2. There is always a wonderful surprise when you show us what's inside you personal journal Astrid. I too have a quote book that I record favoured words maybe one I should show one day. I love how you record some of your days through pictures, so wonderful to see it laid out in such a way.
As always Thank you for sharing, the week would not be the same without seeing a little something.
Creative hugs for the weekend Tracey xx

  4. As I am very much into keeping a journal this year also, it is fantastic seeing all your pages. They are all fabulous. You made the Dylusion journal so unDylusion, and it looks fantastic. I really like the size of this journal and if Ranger was smart they would make this journal without the right side pages all designed. Nothing against Dylusions designs, but a yearful is just too much. and your drawings are fun and and your other journal is just gorgeous. Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika

  10. I am new to your blog and to your amazing, thoughtful and creative gift. I am a writer, 30+ years and have held a secret longing to express my creativity through another medium. I saw one of your creations for the first time a few weeks ago and my heart jumped. This...this beauty which seems to pour from you so naturally, is the creative longing I've held! Yet, I feel utterly inept to even dip my toe into this tempting sea of expression. Tell me, Astrid, tell me, gifted, creative readers - does the pouring forth come with patience and practice or is it an innate gift one possesses or does not? Wishing you joy!

  18. Another lovely peek into your journal. The calendar page is a great starting point, with delicious vintage images and those burnt page edges. I'm so impressed with your Draw Your Day spread - beautiful little visual prompts for what you've been up to - and yes, longhand letter-writing is a joy. The world will be a much poorer place without it.

Oh, and don't all your washi tapes look pretty lined up in a rainbow?!
