Hello friends and welcome. Another week has passed, how time flies. So it's Friday and like usual I am sharing a few more journal pages, so here goes.
First up my planner
I used the same techniques I usually use for this journal, Gesso over Dyan Reaveley's original artwork, then some acrylic paints and finally background stamping, stamped ephemera and washi tapes.
Here's a close up of my right side page.
The focal image this week is of course one of Tim Holtz's paper dolls. This boy looks to me as if he is ready to get on with things, - just what I need to do in the coming week...

I though I would also share one more page from my daily junk journal.
I decided to add a pocket and some stamped journaling cards. I did a tutorial a while back on how to make these pockets, you can find it
here

For this page I decided to leave lots of blank space for journaling and writing practice.

ReplyDeleteWonderful, vintage journal pages, I especially love the one with the pocket. I sewed a pile of paper and cloth pockets some months ago, and lost them - they recently turned up when I cleared my table. Thanks for the reminder to use them! Hugs, Valerie

Your journals looks fantastic Astrid. I love how you folded down the corner in the junk journal to make a little pocket and your medieval calligraphy looks super. It gives it a very personalized touch for sure. I've been admiring your little vintage hand to help hold pages down. That's smart and it's quite pretty too. ReplyDeleteBeautiful pages! Your vintage designs look so pretty with all the stamping and empherea that you added 😁. I remember the pocket tutorial too as it inspired me to create one for a journal page last year - fabulous! It's been cold here but we have had sunshine too which made for some nice walks as long as we wrapped up warm; it's also been very frosty but no snow. Another load of beautiful journalwork here Astrid. Amazing pages with beautiful work in it. I love your lettering and how you´re building things up on each page. It just looks amazing every time, and I wish I was as clever as you.
ReplyDeleteMore beautiful pages for us to delight in, I really do enjoy exploring every detail and I know that as good as photography is there will be much much more to discover within those layers. Corner pockets are just the ticket for creating that extra space we need.

Ooh, beautiful medieval script - so evocative. The distressed layers on that first page give a real look of age and antiquity. I agree that chap is full of get up and go, also needed round here. (I've got to get up and go to Cheltenham for a few days' work to start with, and then Birmingham, and I also need to start thinking about the NYC packing!)

ReplyDeleteWonderful work Astrid. I downloaded one if yr freebies the other day. It was the potting shed on in lovely aqua yellow tones. Unfortunately I mistakenly deleted it & can't find it anywhere. Can u send me in the right direction please. Also I wanted to change the inside to an old cabin look with a background of pots/pans table, fire etc but cannot find any that are suitable. I would even purchase a digikit but they are few & far between.I have tried Pinterest but no luck. Sorry to bend yr ear.😍💟
