Our wonderful sponsor this month is UmWow Studio, who sent us all some of their super chipboards to play with.
Here is the graphic for this month and if you decide to play in our challenge, remember to add it to your post if you want to be in with a chance to win our sponsor's prize! You can read all about it HERE.
Alright, onto my project: I decided to use one of Tim Holtz's Etc tags, made from very strong chipboard, as my backdrop. This is the small size, but it is actually huge!
I added some stencilling using texture paste and then covered it with Paperartsy Fresco Finish paint in Buff, using a brayer. Once the paint had dried I sprayed it lightly with water and then added a few sprinkles of Paperartsy Infusions in "The Sage" and finally some more stencilling using Distress Crayon in Gathered Twigs. A bit of background stamping with a text stamp finished it off.
Next I started to play with my embellishments. I took a couple of my lovely chippies, covered them with crackle paint and two different colours of acrylic paints and when that had dried some green and sparkling sprays. Below a close up of one of them:
Next I stamped a couple of butterflies, fussy-cut them and then coloured them using brush markers and then arranged it all on my tag together with some flowers from my stash and a Tim Holtz Quote Chip altered a bit with a Distress Crayon.
Well, that's it from me for today. Hope you like my project and you will decide to play in our challenge, and of course, - don't forget to check out what my talented teamies have created!
