Anyway, I finally have a journal spread to share, trying to carve out a few moments just to create...
The background was done with a mix of acrylic paints and sprays.
Strips of paper, old book pages and background stamping came next.
The focal point, one of Seth's older stamp sets that has a matching die to go with it
Some doodling and stencilling and some words from a Prima/Finnabair stamp set.
And here the facing page, using the same techniques but this time another Finnabair stamp.
Well, that's it for now. I will be back later in the week with some design team pieces, and there will soon be a few more planner freebies coming your way too :o)
Meanwhile, stay warm, cosy and I hope you will find some creative time. My day-job is pretty crazy at the moment but I hope I'll have more time to blog soon!

Hi Astrid, I love your journal. Looks fabulous with so many textures and different things to see. I too am trying a lot harder to get my blog more up to date. See you Soon. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with this spread Astrid! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant journal pages, Astrid! I'll have to see if I can find Seth's videos - for a short show, there certainly were a lot of things to watch! Hope your day job settles down soon so you can get back to your wonderful art, for you! And look forward, as always, to the DT work of course! xxx Lynn

A truly inspiring piece Astrid. Like you, many of us have had a blog free January. Here in Oz watching Cricket and Tennis and trying to keep cool.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is ever easy in January Astrid and with work being busy it must be difficult for you. Your page is beautiful, I can see Seth's influence - wonderful textures and design. I hope you get a little more time to be creative in the coming weeks. Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful creation here once again, ans we can clearly see Steh´s influence in it too, it looks really great Astrid.
ReplyDeleteDon´t panic over all you don´t get done, I´m pretty sure, we´re many, who´s the exact same, and for some reason life just turns out that way some times, and other times we seems to be unbeatable and get everything done, no matter how much else we have on our plate. I know for sure, that I haven´t got much done at all for the last 6 months, and I don´t even have a dayjob anymore, so don´t feel bad hun, we all understand, more than you think, I´m sure.
Have a wonderful week ahead and have fun for YOU, and not to pleaser any of us, that´s the most important.
beautiful coloured pagesAstrid and I love the details/papers/stamps......enough to lift ones mood on a drench day here in Scotland. I am finding it hard to blog too and think everyone is the same at this time of year. Deep breaths..... and we will be catching up soon for a day together...cant wait xx
ReplyDeleteHuge hugs

ReplyDeleteFabulous pages - can definitely spot the Seth influence! Gorgeous colours! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found some playtime for yourself, and the results are really lovely. The layers of paint and sprays give the pages such depth, and I love the pop of the deep red shapes.
