The little book has two pockets, just the right size for a #8 tag.
I made them in a similar style to the little book itself and chose the colours so that they would match the pages adjoining the pockets.
I used Pion Design papers that had been gathering dust in my stash and then altered them with Distress Inks, stamps, an embossing folder and in the case of this one, some lace.
I decided to stick with my flowers and butterflies theme. This little butterfly was fussy cut from another paper of the same collection.
Using the same background stamps and similar colour scheme throughout a project help to tie it all tog
gether I find.
Another fussy-cut butterfly from the same collection, but this time coloured a bit with Distress Ink (Scattered Straw)
Below are still a couple of photos of the tags together with the pages they belong too.
Well, that's it for today. I am working on another little book right now. Both are gifts for crafty friends I am going to meet up with in a few week time.
Have a wonderful week everyone and thanks for your visit!

ReplyDeleteI love this tag book, Astrid! What a treasure! The tags (and book) are so beautiful. I never thought to use an embossing folder on the Pion papers as they are a bit thin but am happy to see how well it works.
ReplyDeleteAstrid... Your work always intrigues me. It is always so beautifully done. These tags are absolutely works of art! I love how everything you do has such a soft dreamlike quality to it. Tags are not a huge worksurface but you always create the most beautiful detailed perfectly designed tags. Your choices of colors always draw me in. Your books you have made are truly gorgeous and you should be so proud of them.

ReplyDeleteThese are the most gorgeous tags ever! You truly are the queen of blending as I have always said. I can't figure out how you achieve this "Seamless" results so beautifully and fast too every time! If you don't mind me asking, would you please, pretty please share the technique on how you made these two specific tags. I don't know what the original paper looked like and what parts you stamped to make it this gorgeous. I hope you will be able to explain a bit more for a novice like me. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me, I am in awe.
ReplyDeleteYour friends are very, very lucky! Gorgeous art xx
