I created a card for someone who has a Spring birthday and decided to take out my Tim Holtz Lady Rose stamp set for a play. I am sorry to say that I totally forgot to take step by step photos, so all I can do is show you a few close ups and explain more or less what I did.
Next I did some crackle stamping in Library Green Archival Ink and then darkened the edges of my card with Peeled Paint DI.
The main rose stamp was stamped in Black Archival. I wished now I had chosen a lighter colour like Watering Can as it is too dark really, but hey ho, too late now. I coloured it with Inktense pencils and Distress Inks using a water brush to blend.
I found this little dove in my stash, I think it is a Kaiser Craft sticker, it seemed just the right size to fill in an empty space on the card and then I did some very subtle blending around it to add a bit of depth.
A couple of little punched butterflies, some twine and a little label, cut with the Sizzix/Tim Holtz tiny tabs and labels die and the word wish finishes it all off.
I matted it first of Kraft and then a white 7 x 7 card blank and it was done.
Well that's it from me for just now, I'll be back a bit later today with a project for Mixed Media Monthly, but meanwhile please do hop over to A Vintage Journey to see what my teamies have created, I promise you will not be disappointed!!
This is so pretty, Astrid. Love the roses.
