Hi everyone and thanks for passing by here. I have a quick post today, sharing a card for someone special...
So who is David, you may ask.... Well many of you will know the lovely Anne Redfern, also known as Redanne.
Well recently Anne and I met up together with our husbands for a lovely meal out. Anne had even arranged for a very special surprise, because both Mo and Jenny, two other blogfriends that many of you will know, were there as well and their husbands. We had so much fun!!! As it happened to be Anne's husband David's birthday the next day, I made him a card and this is it.
It's an 8 x 8, for the vocal image I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder and coloured the background with a mix of Gelatos and Distress Inks. The little gentleman is from the Paris to London set.
I stamped him on smooth card, fussy cut him and then mounted him on a vintage postcard that I think came from one of the Tim Holtz paper collections, not sure as it was from my scrap box.
The embossed sentiment is from a Darice folder.
I used the Trellis Frameworks and Distress Doily cut from Kraftcard for the background.
We had a lovely evening and it was so nice of Anne and David to share this special evening with us all. Thank you Anne for organising this lovely surprise, as I said in a previous post already, blogfriends are the best!!!
Hope you are all having a good week. Thanks for visiting
Lovely to read of how friendships can grow and blossom...

ReplyDeleteAnd sooo wonderful to hear about your wonderful night out meeting up with so many great blogfriends. I´ve been so lucky myself to meet up with several wonderful online friends from many different countries over the years, and it is really an amazing feeling, when you´ve been connecting for years with someone online, and then finally get a chance to meet in person. I have made some of my best friends ever this way, and great to hear, others are doing this too.
