It's been a while since I have shared another spread in my Positivity Journal. So here you go, the next pages:
This time I played with Distress Stains and Inks, I also used some Tattered Angels Chalk Mists, all of this over pre-gessoed pages. I also threw some Picket Fence Crackle paint into the mix.
Before starting on any colour work, I adhered a Sizzix die cut to one of the pages for some texture. Hard to see from the photo, I know. The vocal stamp is an Inkylicious one. The text is a Unity stamp from Donna Downey.
Here you can see a bit more of the texture and crackle, That yummy blue (well I like it anyway) is the chalk mist. I have had it for ages and was so glad to find a use for it. You can expect to see more of it in the future.
Here is the other side, with a pocket (cut with a Tim Holtz ticket die) and a tag for journaling. The butterfly was cut from the Madame Payraud's paper collection, (another new favourite) as were the bits and pieces on the tag.
Here's a close up of the pocket.
And here is the tag:
If you want to find out more about the positivity journal, check out this post. Meanwhile I hope you like these pages, I am still managing to write something for every day and have plenty of space left on my tags. My main problem is that with all the tags my journal is getting so fat it is starting to split apart. I may have to switch to another one soon....
That's one of the reasons I have only made one tag for this page.
I'll leave you with this wonderful quote and hope you are having a creative and positive time yourself.
“Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”
