A friend of mine is expecting a baby girl (yes, she knows it's going to be a girl), and I decided to make her a little album to keep some notes on all her secret dreams for her new baby. It's baby number 3 and it's easy to get caught up in other things being busy all the time, so I thought maybe this would help....
The stamps on the cover are from Alpha stamps. All the stamps on the inside are from the Tim Holtz Tiny Things set. I also used some images from Nicecrane The Kewpies baby collection of round digi stamps for embellishments.
All right, here goes and beware, photo rich post!......
The background to the pages on the right was made with the help of Distress paints, Inks and Stains. Texture, stamps and sometimes rub-ons were added to further decorate. I also used paper serviettes to make the backgrounds more interesting.
The pages on the left were made with the help of some 6 x 6 papers, stamped, inked and for most of them I added a little journaling pocket made with the very cool seed packet die loaned to me by the lovely Brenda
All the words come from Tim Holtz chit chat stickers.
Here you can see one of the cute Kewpie babies, not my usual style but I did think they were fun :)
I added texture to the pages in various ways, either with texture paste through a mask or with an embossing folder.
Well, there you have it. The album is actually very small, each of the pages is only two by four inches and the whole album was made out of two pieces of A4 Kraft card, folded and cut like the Mr Holtz "W" album. There are also plenty of other videos to be found that describe how to do this, so I am not going to bore you with a long explanation.
Well, hope you like this little album, thank you so much for visiting and have a creative week!
Oh my gosh this is so lovely and a delightful gift that your friend and baby daughter will treasure.
