Hello everyone, and welcome once again to all my new followers.
It's been rather quiet around here, mainly due to the fact that I have been snowed under with various design team projects. But today I decided I needed some art me time and played in my latest journal.
The background was created using various acrylic paints and loads of Gesso, stencils and various background stamps. The main vocal stamps are mostly Tim Holtz and were stamped on to tissue paper and then adhered with gel medium over the background. I also used element of the Prima Romance Novel collection. Love that collection (I have the 6 x 6 pad). I like most Prima collections, but this one must be one of my all time favourites. The bit on the right is a pocket I created with a little envelope inside to hold little journal-ling notes. I feel more comfortable with that than journal-ling all over my page.
Here are some close up photos still.
And here you can see the little envelope and note cards, - all cut from the collection and just a little embellished.
You can see the cover of this journal here
Looks great! I like the color scheme and I love the little notes! I don't like journaling all over my pages either and this is a wonderful alternative!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you did with this...it looks awesome!!!

I remember the cover well; it's lovely to get to see what's starting inside. This is full of beauty and atmosphere - love the passionate heat of the colours, and wonderful lettering and stamping. I love the idea of private journalling hidden away (as you may remember, I've struggled with having my handwriting on pages), so thank you for that inspiration! Have a wonderful week.

ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous stamping... totally love this page.... I keep looking around and around again at each detail.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome design love that.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous page and I too like your method of keeping your journalling 'private'. I don't like my handwriting so would feel that I spoiled a page having it on view, lol! I love what you are doing with the wonderful journal the Bosses sent us. I just haven't been able to get into journalling at all but maybe after Christmas I might find the time to play ;D
