Well, now for my tags, here is no 8
Of course like usual mine is totally different, but there are a few similarities that I used as inspiration from Linda's tag: A Santa stamp on the right (mine is a Crafty Secrets stamp), the Season's Greetings sentiment on the left, a strip of hessian/burlap at the bottom and a big flower, plus some background stamping. You can see Linda's original tag here:
I made my flower using a Rose Creations die from Spellbinders |
My Santa image was coloured with a mix of Distress Inks and Inktense pencils and cut with another Spellbinders die |
Again, mine is very different but I stuck with the star and button theme and also added a gingham ribbon, with a ticket stuck behind. You can see the original here
I had great fun creating the background with a mix of acrylic paints, crackle medium, embossing powders, Distress Stickles and my heat-gun. The stars are grunge board which I treated in a similar way to make them look old and rusty. The ticket is a Tim Holtz stamp and the buttons I have had in my stash since forever and I was so pleased to finally use them.
Here are some close ups still:
Well I hope you like my tags. I have greatly enjoyed making them and can't wait for Linda's next tag to appear later today....
they are both truly lovely and an absolute inspiration
ReplyDeleteThese tags are amazing, love every detail, Astrid
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tags.
ReplyDeleteThey're gorgeous, Astrid! I love your version of 8, with the rich ruby reds of the ribbon and flower against that beautiful vintage sepia; and 9 is fabulous - the texture on those hanging stars as well as in the background is yummy!

ReplyDeleteTwo beautifully textured tags and loving your designs. xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tags!
ReplyDeleteHello Astrid
ReplyDeleteI love your interpretation of the Tags, you say they are very different but I can recognise what has inspired you. The first Tag has the feel of Antiquity, which is difficult to create, but you have it all going on here;it is really beautiful.
Smiles:)
Sue
Beautiful work....gorgeous wee accents & the distress/vintage look is perfect:):):)
ReplyDeleteLove your versions Astrid (no surprise there then!) It's amazing how we are all doing such diverse tags based on the same things - that's the beauty of individual imaginations I guess. Looking forward to see what you do for no. 10 now. Hugs, Buttons x
ReplyDeletesooo Vintage, they look great. xxxx
ReplyDeleteAstrid these are both just stunning! I have to admit, both these tags stumped me with what to do and mine are very different from Linda's as well. I love that we all see something different in them and that is what inspires us on our journey! Again, yummy tags hun!
ReplyDeleteOMG OMG OMG Astrid these are pure heaven ... so in love with them all. you should do this style more often it is divine xxooxo
ReplyDeleteOh my, these are both fantastic, Astrid. The Santa and frame on #8 is so delicate and lovely, the flower is wonderful and I love the deep garnet seambinding bow. And I am positively drooling over #9. Your background is incredible and the stars and gingham give it such a wonderful vintage country appeal.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these beauties with us in the 12 tags challenge!
Hugs,
Linda
