Creative Chemistry the next installment

Well, here are my next tags from day 3 and the first one of day 4. I know already I am going to struggle to do them all as I don't have half of the products Tim uses so will probably have to improvise a lot, but I have to say it is great fun and has given me the chance to use some stuff that had been gathering dust for years lol...

Alcohol Ink Agates

Archival Resist.
I struggled with this one as I don't have any light coloured archival inks so mine turned out very different from Tim's.

Reflection Stamping
Again this is my own version as I don't have any reflection stamps but inking an embossing folder is a great technique and I love the result.

Watercolouring with Re-Inkers.
I have only a few colours of reinkers so was rather restricted. I have to say, re-inkers are not my favourite colouring medium........

Playing Catch Up

Like most of the rest of the crafting world it seems, I signed up for Tim Holtz's Creative Chemistry 101 class. Unfortunately I was away from home when the class started and only came back yesterday, so I was finally able to start my tags today. Here are the first ones:
Tag 1 Blended Spritz & Flick

Unfortunately I did not manage to get nice small droplets, I think I need to practice this one...

Brushless Watercolour

This is the one I struggled with most as I did not have suitable stamps somehow. In the end I used two Darkroom Door stamps, and now it is my favourite so far. I added the strip of old print for an arty effect.
This is an extra one I did, using the same colours as the  brushless water colour. I combined Wrinkle Free distress and  Spritz and Flick

And this is the last one, Wrinkle Free Distress. Wished I had added more blue....

As you can see the post cards are not sized to fit in the envelopes, but if you have a photo editing program it should be easy enough to make them fit if you want.

Mini Printer's tray

A while back I received this gorgeous little Tando Creative Mini Printer's Tray from our bosses at Snazzys. It was lying around looking somewhat lost. Well, finally I decided to do something with it, so here it is.
Papers are from Kaisercrafts Sweet Nothings collection, images are mostly either from the Graphics Fairy or other free sources on the net. The one on the left side is one of my own papers reduced. It matches the Kaiser papers pretty well I think, in reality a lot better than in the photo.

I left the cover pretty blank to show off the gorgeous papers.

Fun with Flowers.

There are so many different tutorials out there about how to make you own flowers. This evening I decided to spent some time making a little collection. I used my Spellbinder dies Rose Creations and Spiral Blossoms 1 and a variety of papers, card stock, book pages and coffee filters. Such fun! Now I just need to find the time to add them to projects....

Book pages and glimmer mist

Freebie Friday

It's Friday so time for some new freebies again. This week it is a couple of 6 x 6 papers and matching tags. I made them egg shaped so you can use them for Easter projects if you want. I just love making these, it's so relaxing, - just hope you are not getting bored of them. I tried to leave lots of space on them so you can add your own ribbons, embellishments etc.

For the love of chocolate

Over at the Stamp Artic blog there is a challenge going on to make a container for some goodies. The only other condition is that there has to be a feather on your creation somewhere. Details can be found at http://stampartic.blogspot.com/

I decided to make an easel card box. The chocolates inside are from Green and Black organic classic selection but I made my own wrappers to match the rest of the project. Papers used are from Pion design newest paper collection "From my Heart II". The paper for the wrappers I designed myself and I am quite chuffed about how well it matches the Pion papers. I used the rose border from my freebies for this week.

I am also putting this in for Color palette 100 over at the http://thecolorroom.ning.com/where the sponsor this month is Pion Design.

Here is a jpeg still with the wrappers in case you would like to do something like this. I am sure they could be used for soaps etc as well and you could of course embellish them further.

Freebie Friday

It's Friday and that means another freebie. This week I decided to make some ATC backgrounds. Like always, images are mostly from freebies others provided and that I have saved over the years. I usually totally alter them, this time is no exception. Hope you like these.
