Today the first challenge over at the Snazzys DT blog is starting. The theme is "Romance", very suitable for this time of year.
Each of the DT members have made sample projects to give you inspiration to join in and there is of course a fabulous prize to be won for one lucky winner. Here are some pictures of the sample I made:
I first covered a heart shaped box in Gesso and when that was dry in Titan Buff acrylic paint. The roses in the corners are from a paper serviette that i tore and then glued on with matte medium. I covered all the edges of the box with some Tim Holtz tissue tape and then stamped the words of a Darkroom Door word block stamp in vintage photo all over the top and the sides of the box. I glued lace around the sides and further embellished with one of Tim Holtz's dress form dies covered in various papers, a stamped andpunched out butterfly and some pearls from a Viva decor pearl pen. Finally I stamped the word block stamp in black archival, cut out three of the words and distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink.
Hope you'll head over to the Snazzys DT blog and join in for a chance to win the fantastic prize!
