I decided to show two of my journal pages, one in "new" one in "old" style.
Recently I have been feeling I should do some actual painting rather than just collage and stamping and so I made myself create faces and portraits in different styles. You can see a few more of htese in the post below. If I am really honest though I have to say I enjoy both the process and the result of my "old" style better.
Oh wow das ist wieder so wunderschön.
ReplyDeleteFantastisch.
Well, both are lovely but the face is wonderful. You should really do more like this, you have real talent. I love the angelic glow too.
ReplyDeleteDu lieber Himmel ! Was für tolle Werke Du hier wieder gezaubert hast? Ich bin total von den Socken:-)

ReplyDeleteAstrid, I have just been on a journey through your blog page and I am completely blown away. Your art journalling is simply amazing. I left a comment below to the effect that the first word that comes to my mind when I see your work is 'exquisite' but there isn't another one which describes it so succinctly.
ReplyDeleteI love the two pictures you have created for this week's challenge. I love both styles. Your painting is stunning and I hope we will see more of it in the future although it must be a difficult choice between the old and the new.
A huge standing ovation from me for all your work. You are a true artist.
Hallo liebe Astrid,
MARTINA :-)
I love the second one...the face...the gold...the lace effect...bravo!
ReplyDeleteYour pages are amazing..you do wonderful artwork. I'd love to make a journal someday!
ReplyDeleteAlways great to compare. I love the top one, but there's something about the second one that also speaks to you. They're both beautiful!

ReplyDeleteAstrid, you can really draw and paint beautifully. I'm so glad I got to see this part of your many talents.
