The theme at Sunday Postcard is Children today. As a teacher I always love themes to do with children. The little message on the card may just appear whimsical, but for me it is symbolic as I feel many, many children feel that way, even if they are unable to experess it in so many words. By being forced to early into education that is often only geared toward the academic, they are deprived of their childhood and forget "how to fly"!
This is beautiful and I love the message, so true sometimes.

I have only just come across your blog and am having a good read through but had to pause for a second to comment on this one - I got the message before I even read your accompanying text - it's so true. Especially that jump from reception year into Y1, it just seems to knock all the joy out of them for a little while :(
ReplyDeleteI love the colours used on this, and the fact that the wings look more real than the "real world"
very effective
