Mixed media Monday
Here is my contribution for this week on the theme of Maps. I liked the idea of a vintage looking tag.
Think Monday Think ATC
The theme today was female artists. My first thought (like most others' it seems) was Frida Kaloh, but so many others chose her that I decided to choose someone else. One of my favourite female artists is Laurel Burch, I love her colourful creations. Laurel died from a crippling desease last September, I made this ATC as a tribute to her. (Towards the end of my blog you can see a series of ATCs that were inspired by her work shortly after her death. They have all now moved to the homes of some of my swap community friends).

I embossed a couple of flourishes on two sides of the arch to complement the girl with her basket of flowers, which I felt really suited not only the theme, but also the lovely spring sunday.
