Chuckles...

Hello everyone and welcome to you all, especially my new followers!
Well, hope this does not get too boring, but here is another journal page and again I am featuring my new grand daughter, just 3 months old a couple of days ago, how time flies!
Actually I am not too happy with this page, it's a bit top heavy with all the journaling, but I had good fun creating it, and ultimately that's the main point of journaling right?

It's the usual layers of papers, texture paste, loads of Gesso, embellishments, more Gesso and  paints and sprays, some stamping, washi tapes and a little doodling. Here are some details still

As some of you know, little Lucia lives in Australia while I am in Scotland.... Journaling about her is my way of connecting with her, until I finally get to see and hold her in just under three months time....

Astrid this is soo cute, and so is this little beauty here too. I bet you´re just waiting to hold her in your arms. I can´t even imagine not to be able to hug my grandkids every week, if I want to, but I´m so lucky to have all 6 granddaughters just around here, so guess we get a little spoiled this way LOL: I hope, you´ll get to hold sooner than soon, and I promisse, you´ll never be the same again he he he. They really do something to us, and it´s nothing like our own kids was, I can tell

Awwww, how cute is she!!!! Such a great way to keep a record of her at this early stage. I reckon the journalling part is one of the most important bits as it is the best way helping jog your memory later on. It's such a balance getting the whole thing not to look top heavy. I've been struggling with that myself recently. Hope you get to do lots more of these. Hugs, Jenny x

Gorgeous colours and textures, and what a beautiful photo of Lucia. I hadn't realised she was actually at the other side of the world... what a wonderful way to stay connected through these beautiful pages you're creating. Quite the opposite of boring - share away!

Ha! Ha! As I was clicking to the comment page I was thinking of what I was going to say and lo and behold, Paula has typed exactly what I was going to say about counting the days, lol! I know I would be! This is a gorgeous page even if you are not 100% happy with it. I love the colours and all the texture surrounding the adorable photo.

Hello Astrid,
Like everyone else, I think this page is fabulous, you have done a magnificent job of the background, it has texture and interest which is subtle enough not to take over from the main image; Lucia.
You may think it's top-heavy, but the journalling as you correctly say is important, when she grows up I am sure she will appreciate what her grandmother has made for her.
I can imagine you are very excited about going to Australia to see her.
Smiles :-)

Lovely page and beautiful photo of Lucia. It must be very hard to be on opposite sides of the world, maybe by the time she's a grandmother they'll be able to beam themselves instantly across !

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
